The 2022 Budapest Open will run from July 11 to July 17, and it will be hosted the first week after the season's third Grand Slam.
Following its debut the previous year, the Budapest Open will be contested again in 2022 and will include Yulia Putintseva, the 2021 winner, in the competition. Anhelina Kalinina, last year's finalist, is also in the draw as a talented field will visit the Hungarian city.
The first-seeded Barbora Krejcikova just won doubles tournament at the 2022 Wimbledon with Katerina Siniakova and both players will be coming to the Hungarian capital with a good form.
Barbora Krejcikova will play against Xiyu Wang in the first round and her doubles partner Katerina Siniakova will meet the fourth-seeded Anhelina Kalinina. Martina Trevisan, who enjoyed a good run at this year's Roland Garros, will be the second-seeded and play against the home wild-card Natalia Szbanin.
