Some players like to extend their grass-court season and they have a chance to do so at the 2022 Newport Open which is played from July 11th until 17th.
If a player didn't find enough success at the Wimbledon, he has one more chance to win a grass-court title at the Newport Open. John Isner managed to do this four times and he will attempt to add fifth title in the American city, but he will face a tough competition as Felix Auger-Aliassime will be the top seeded.
Felix Auger-Aliassime will be one of the top favourites and as all the top four seeded players, he will have a bye in the first round. In the second round, he will await an Australian as Jordan Thomspon and Jason Kubler will meet in an all-Australian first-round match.
Four-time champion from Newport, John Isner, will face Ugo Humbert or Peter Gojowczyk in the second round and another tall American, Maxime Cressy, who is the fourth-seeded, will play against a qualifier or Dutch sensation Tim van Rijthoven.
Some interesting first-round matches include a match between the seventh-seeded Jiri Vesely and veteran Feliciano Lopez. Also Andy Murray will be taking part at the event as the sixth-seeded and will take on Sam Querrey in the first round.
