2024 ATX Open Austin WTA Entry List - Azarenka, Stephens, Collins & more

The 2024 ATX Open will commemorate its second annual tour-level tournament and will run from February 26th to March 3rd.
This tournament will be part of the WTA 250 series and takes place in Austin, Texas, in the USA. The entry list for the event was recently released and guarantees a new champion in 2024. That is because inaugural tournament winner Marta Kostyuk will play the San Diego Open in the same week.
Two of the major star attractions at the ATX Open will be Grand Slam winners. These are Victoria Azarenka (two-time Australian Open champion) and Sloane Stephens (2017 US Open champion). The American was a quarterfinalist during the first edition last year.
As for Azarenka, she will play it for the first time. Quite a number of players are set to debut at this event, too. The top seed will be Ukraine's Anhelina Kalinina, who is the highest-ranked player in the 32-woman lineup.
The most exciting home players who will also feature include Peyton Stearns, Caty McNally, Alycia Parks and Texas resident Ashlyn Krueger. Former Australian Open finalist Danielle Collins has confirmed that she is playing her farewell season and would want to sign off on a high note here.
Following Qinwen Zheng's breakthrough success at the Australian Open, Chinese players will be motivated to do well at tour level. Three of them will be able to compete for a title in Austin. These are Xiyu Wang, Yue Yuan, and Yafan Wang.
One of the players on the comeback trail is Anastasija Sevastova. The 33-year-old Latvian hasn't played a tour-level match since January 2022. However, she returned late last season, playing in two WTA 125K tournaments.
Six players will go through the rigors of qualifying on the weekend before the main draw starts to be part of the fold. The tournament organizers are also expected to issue three wild card cards for the main draw. We have compiled the entire entry list for the 2024 ATX Open in Texas down below.

- IDK, it looks like to me that Raducanu should praise herself and her team for 'gaming the system' as in playing the points and ranking game. When you look at her season of wild cards, skipping tournaments (including the Paris Olympics!), retiring from losing matches and avoiding qualifying rounds, it seems like there was some plan to move up the ranks without actually playing a lot of tennis.
