Roger Federer has gives his final career match kit to the museum at the International Hall of Fame where it was displayed.

His final match was a doubles match with Rafael Nadal at the Laver Cup earlier this year. American Tiafoe and Sock were their opponents, and the Americans won the match in three sets sending Federer into retirement.

It was a glorious and emotional night for everybody involved and his full equipment from that match was displayed in the International Tennis Hall of Fame Museum in Newport.

“This addition to the International Tennis Hall of Fame is a fitting tribute to the final chapter in a defining career," said Tennis Hall of Fame CEO Todd Martin. He added:

“We are tremendously grateful to Roger for this generous loan, and for valuing our mission to preserve tennis history as it happens. The ITHF congratulates Roger on all his achievements, the example he has set for everyone in the sport, and for his dedication to the sport’s history. We know this exhibit will inspire countless fans and visitors."
