ATP Tour hasn't scheduled any events right after the last Grand Slam of the season and so after a short break, players will return to the 2022 San Diego Open from September 19th until 25th.
The San Diego Open will be played only for the second year after Casper Ruud lifted the title last year. For the second consecutive year, it will be held at the Barnes Tennis Center and it seems that the tournament is starting to cement its way into the ATP calendar as the entry list features some interesting names.
The 2022 San Diego Open will be attended by a lot of American players that will try to impress the home crowd. Jenson Brooksby, Marcos Giron, Brandon Nakashima, Mackenzie McDonald and J.J. Wolf are just some of those that will compete.
The top-seeded player should be Daniel Evans, who played semifinals in Montreal and also Daniel Galan Riveros, player that bested Stefanos Tsitsipas at the US Open, will compete at the 2022 San Diego Open.
