After two successful events, the WTA Tour returns to the Ostrava Open also in 2022 and it will be played from October 3rd until 9th with a star-studded entry list.
In 2020, Aryna Sabalenka defeated compatriot Victoria Azarenka in the final and last year, Anett Kontaveit bested Maria Sakkari while Iga Swiatek and Petra Kvitova were semifinalists. And majority of these players are on the entry list also for the 2022 Ostrava Open.
World number 1, Iga Swiatek will be the top-seeded player at the 2022 Ostrava Open. Also 2021 US Open champion, Emma Raducanu will play in Ostrava and these two will be joined by Anett Kontaveit, Maria Sakkari and Paula Badosa.
Daria Kasatkina and Belinda Bencic should also compete in the Czech Republic but also a couple of home players will give fans a reason to cheer as Karolina Pliskova and Barbora Krejcikova enrolled for the event.
