Great Britain and Kazakhstan played the last tie of Group D of the 2022 Davis Cup in Glasgow as both team couldn't advance anymore.

After Andy Murray and Joe Salisbury lost both doubles matches, Great Britain's team captain, Leon Smith replaced the Scot with doubles world no. 3, Neil Skupski to take on Alexander Bublik and Alexandr Nedovyesov.

It was a stunning doubles match that was played for almost three hours and all sets were decided in a tie-break. Despite none of the teams having a chance to advance, as Alexander Bublik stated, a lot was in stake as no one wanted to be the last.

Fans in Glasgow enjoyed the stunning doubles match but the match was stopped and whole crowd went silent when there was a time to observe the national minute's silence in memory of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
