It seems that the dust has settled on the previous disagreements between Holger Rune and Stan Wawrinka.

After meeting for the first time in Paris, and the Swiss player advising the young Dane to 'stop acting like a baby on court', and their following match in Indian Wells, which ended with a little chat at the net again, Rune and Wawrinka met once again but this time on the practice court.

Both players are set to compete at the 2023 Monte-Carlo Masters as Rune qualifier thanks to his ranking and Wawrinka received a wild card. Ahead of the tournament, the two met on the court in what came as a surprise to many fans.

Despite their previous exchange, there appeared to be no lingering animosity between the two players. That much became clear when, in a masterful act of diplomacy, Novak Djokovic brought them together for a joint practice session in Monte Carlo.

The trio shared a photo, and Rune and Wawrinka were even spotted conversing amicably at the court side. The unexpected reunion highlights the unique camaraderie that can be found in the world of professional tennis, where even the fiercest of rivals can come together in the spirit of sportsmanship.

As the 2023 Monte-Carlo Masters approaches, fans will be eager to see how the newfound friendship between Rune and Wawrinka will fare.
