The list of qualities that Novak Djokovic possesses is long, but one stands out among the others.
The 21-time Grand Slam champion is one of the best defenders on the tennis court, and according to French coach Patrick Mouratoglou, he's the best. Djokovic often wins rallies that seem to be impossible to win and during his 2023 Australian Open run, he proved it again.
"Novak is the best player in the world when it comes to defend and counter punch but how much an even better player when he is on top of the ball and dictating like in the 2023 Australian Open."
After comfortably succeeding in all of his matches, the Serbian set up a semifinal meeting with Tommy Paul, who will play his first major semifinal. The two are set to meet at the Rod Laver Arena on Friday.
