The tennis community is really starting to focus on mental health as more and more players openly talk about it.

Venus Williams, Frances Tiafoe, and Taylor Fritz have partnered with BetterHelp to offer up to $3 million in free mental health therapy to those in need as part of a promotional relationship. The campaign aims to de-stigmatize seeking professional help and bring attention to how crucial mental health is to overall well-being.

"No one is immune to mental health challenges, no matter our background or how we seem to be doing from the outside" explained Williams who has been in the sport for over two decades adding:

“Mental health is a personal journey for each individual, and it’s one we are all learning how to manage together. I’m excited to continue working with BetterHelp to destigmatize seeking professional help and provide free access to therapy"

Tiafoe always spoke about his desire to use his platform to help people often electing to take part in charitable actions. He was eager to work with BetterHelp on this initiative:

“So many people struggle with their mental health and lack the resources to take care of it,” says Tiafoe. “I’m really excited to work with BetterHelp to both provide free therapy to folks who need it and also help reduce the stigma that comes with asking for help.”

Fritz is another player who has faced hate and doubters in his career and taking care of his mental health allowed him to stay on the path and play the best year of his career so far:

“As athletes, we stay so focused on our physical health that our mental health often takes a backseat. I’m stoked to partner with BetterHelp to raise awareness and help people get free access to therapy.”
