Novak Djokovic spent a lot of time on the grounds of the Tennis Centre Novak in Belgrade, where he took some time to meet with Serbian Paralympians.

Djokovic is a keen sports fan as the Serbian has interests besides his favourite sport tennis. He openly sports fellow Serbian athletes on social media as well as attends other sporting events whenever he is able to.

His love for the Serbian multi-sports team, Crvena Zvezda, is well documented. In the recent weeks, Djokovic has been really busy, even postponing one of his press conferences. The Serbian wants to maximize the time that he can spend on the tennis court, and everything else is secondary.

Still, after a practice session in Belgrade, he took time to meet with Serbian Paralympians, sharing some emotional words with them. He said:

"Thank you, it is a great pleasure and honour for me, you are heroes and an inspiration to all of us. Thank you for representing Serbia in the best way in the world, for showing everyone that despite the difficulties, a person can succeed when they believe, and want to. Thank you for sending that message."

The camaraderie was evident as Djokovic received several gifts from the Paralympians, a gesture symbolizing mutual respect and admiration. The interaction was not just formalities; it was an exchange between equals, athletes who understood each other's journeys, the highs of victory, and the lows of defeat.

The Serbian tennis champion also got a light-hearted challenge to a game of table tennis by Serbian champion Branislava Peric, showcasing the friendly spirit of the meeting.

Djokovic, in return, presented the Paralympians with signed tennis balls and other memorabilia, creating a tangible memory of this special interaction. The event was also a photo opportunity, but these pictures were more than just images; they were a testament to the unifying power of sports, transcending physical limitations and societal barriers.
