The 2022 Roland Garros promises to be one of the best Grand Slam tournaments in the past few years, as we can see a real fight between the members of the Big Three and the young generation.

Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic will be two men fighting for history at the 2022 Roland Garros when the Spaniard can win his 22nd Grand Slam title while current world no. 1 can level him at 21 if he succeeds.

However, they will need to sustain a challenge from an upcoming generation of players such as Carlos Alcaraz, Stefanos Tsitsipas, or even Alexander Zverev and Casper Ruud, as they are all eager to win their maiden major title.

Specifically, Djokovic, Nadal, Tsitsipas, and Alcaraz are the four players that former ATP player Greg Rusedski thinks have a real chance of winning a title at this year's Roland Garros.

In his recent talk on Amazon Prime, former world number 4 said praised Tsitsipas' performance at the Monte-Carlo Masters, saying that it can be one of the reasons why he can succeed on the French clay.

"What a performance [by Stefanos Tsitsipas at the 2022 Monte-Carlo Masters] if we look at it. To win back-to-back titles, we saw the list of six great champions who have done that. All no. 1s, all Roland Garros champions."

Along with the Greek player, Rusedski can obviously see Djokovic and Nadal both winning the tournament, but he has also included Spanish teenager Carlos Alcaraz as one of the favourites.

"So he's in a great position to have another great run at the French Open. It puts him in the list of four guys who you think have a real shot to win it with Rafa, Novak and Alcaraz as probably the four guys that you think can win Roland Garros in the men’s this year so it’s an exciting time for men’s tennis at the moment."
