Emma Raducanu has been one of the most successful players in Great Britain's women's tennis in the past few years, and the Lawn Tennis Association is aware of that.
LTA is the governing body of tennis in Great Britain, and its chief executive, Scott Lloyd, knows that Emma Raducanu is a true gem of Great Britain's tennis as she's the first woman in Great Britain to win a Grand Slam title since Virginia Wade in 1977.
After tremendous success at the 2021 US Open, Raducanu is now competing in her first full WTA Tour season, and she's learning a lot, including her first matches on the clay courts, something she has not experienced before.
“Emma knows, her team knows, that we have always been and will continue to be there to support her. It is going to be in some ways a very tough year, a tough summer for her, in terms of her profile. It is only a year ago she was sitting her A Levels. Emma needs to try to find what works for her in terms of how she navigates the tour and the travelling."
Amid these very challenging times, the British No. 1 received a lot of support from the LTA's CEO Scott Lloyd, as he showed Raducanu full support on her growth journey.
"She has a long way to go in terms of starting to find herself and learn what works for her to deliver optimal performances. You saw her navigate that last summer with incredible maturity given the circumstances."
"She has a very level head on her shoulders. It is a development period, it is a learning experience, but she is in a good place. She knows what she wants to try and do. She is an incredible tennis player. I am sure she will go on to many more successes in the years to come."
