Diego Schwartzman and Stefanos Tsitsipas met in the third round of the 2022 Cincinnati Masters and the match went better for the Greek player.

The world number 7 was dominant on his serve and thanks to breaking his opponent early, he got a big lead in both sets. However, there was also some drama in the match as Diego Schwartzman didn't like the way father of Stefanos Tsitsipas behaved during the match.

Apostolos Tsitsipas is coaching his son Stefanos and often he gets into a clash with some of the players that don't like his talking during the match. The same happened also in the match against Diego Schwartzman as the Argentinian complained to the umpire Renaud Lichtenstein, when he stated: "Tell me one people who likes his father."

During the conversation, Schwartzman acknowledged that he needed to concentrate more and not let it bother him, but he was upset that the team of Tsitsipas purposefully used English rather than Greek while he was on their end, ostensibly to divert his attention.
