The 21-time Grand Slam champion had to have a couple of plans ahead of the last Grand Slam of the season and after not being able to play at the 2022 US Open, he confirmed his schedule for the upcoming weeks.

First, Novak Djokovic will play at the 2022 Laver Cup alongside his big rivals but also friends, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray for Team Europe. After the exhibition event, the Serbian will travel to Israel where he'll take part in an ATP 250 event.

Tel Aviv Open returns to the ATP calendar for the first time since 1996. Previously, players like Wayne Ferreira or Jeff Tarango triumphed in Israel and Javier Sanchez is the last champion. In 2022, the 21-time Grand Slam champion, Novak Djokovic will headline the field.

However, despite the event being the lowest-ranked ATP event, it will feature a very strong field of players. Dominic Thiem will participate at the 2022 Tel Aviv Open as well and Marin Cilic, Diego Schwartzman and Karen Khachanov are also among participants.
