Nick Kyrgios and Novak Djokovic were two guys you may have been startled to see together if it wasn't necessary only a few years ago.

But when the 27-year-old Australian backed up the 21-time Grand Slam victor before the opening Grand Slam of the 2022 season, everything changed. Ahead of their final clash at Wimbledon, Nick Kyrgios stated that "they have a bit of bromance, which is weird" Later, they exchanged praises after the match and Novak Djokovic remembered to invite his opponent to dinner in New York.

During the 2022 Laver Cup the Australian joked a bit about Djokovic, when he added a picture of retiring Roger Federer and added a caption: "Novak knows chances for slams is better now." For some it was apparently an indication that things may be turbulent between the two again as the Serbian was asked a weird question during his 2022 Tel Aviv Open participation.

One of the reporters asked the 21-time Grand Slam champion if he would play doubles alongside Kyrgios. The Serbian joked as he responded with a smile, reminding the reporter who is his next opponent in Israel. Afterwards, he added:

"Of course I would like to play with Nick, as long as he is motivated. He's a great doubles player, I know. I know he has won Grand Slam with Jack Sock or Thanasi. It's fantastic when he's focused, I hope he can continue at that level," said Djokovic.
