Novak Djokovic and Nick Kyrgios set up a deal that the winner of the Wimbledon final will buy the loser a dinner.
Well after Novak Djokovic posted a pretty picture on Instagram posing with his recent Wimbledon trophy, Nick Kyrgios asked Djokovic where his dinner was alluding to the fact that Djokovic had not yet fulfilled his end of the deal.
Djokovic responded swiftly but the response left many fans wondering what he exactly meant. Kyrgios wrote:
"Where is my dinner" to which Djokovic responded:
"Sorry, mate. I called all the restaurants in London on Sunday night and there was no tables available. Dinner is on me in New York City."
As it's rather well known Djokovic can't enter the US legally because he is not vaccinated. As of now the county requires foreign nationals to have proof of vaccination upon entry and they seem unlikely to change that policy this year.
Djokovic himself confirmed he would not get vaccinated in any case so this comment is a curious one by Djokovic unless he is either joking or knowing something that the rest of the world does not.
