Alexander Zverev is back on his feet walking as he posted a short Instagram video from the gym where he showcased his walk.
Zverev completely broke his ankle during the Roland Garros semifinal against Rafael Nadal being forced to retire immediately. He underwent surgery on his ankle and started a very long recovery process that should make him ready for the US Open in September.
The German admitted that he would not be rushing the recovery opting for a more measured approach that would ensure proper recovery before committing to any excessive physical demands. In the video, Zverev is shown with a stabilizer on his ankle to prevent any unnecessary stress on the ankle and he strengthens it.
He looked quite upbeat with a big smile as he walked towards the camera which should make fans very happy.
