Reilly Opelka showed no sympathy for colleague Fernando Verdasco who was banned for two months from tennis due to a positive doping test.

Verdasco takes medication for ADHD, but the WADA has listed that medicine as a banned substance. Players who have been diagnosed with ADHD are eligible to request an exemption, and Verdasco has done so for most of his career. His most recent one expired earlier this year and he suffered some consequences.

He was banned for two months and will be out of action until January 8th. Reilly Opelka is not a fan of players being allowed to use something he perceives as a performance-enhancing drug and it's hard to argue against its effects.

To him, this is legal doping: "One of the biggest issues in tennis.. why are guys taking adderall for the first time in their life as adults? Legal doping"

He then added:

"Sorry but I dont have empathy for any tennis player testing positive for adderall, as in my mind its a PED."
