A couple of former American tennis players have been fined by the ITIA for promoting gambling which causes a lot of issues in the tennis community.

Tennis players frequently remark about the vitriol they receive on social media from irate people who lost money gambling, therefore betting and tennis don't mix well. The ITIA has penalized former players Bob Bryan and Mardy Fish for encouraging gambling since the rules governing players and former players regarding gambling are fairly strict.

The International Tennis Integrity agency released a statement detailing two sanctions against Bryan and Fish for 'breaching tennis betting sponsorship rules'. Both players have been fined with 10.000 dollars as well as four months from the sport.

Both were part of the US Davis Cup Team which left them open to suspension after they promoted a gambling operator on social media.
