Iga Swiatek confirms her position of a heavy favourite in the Polish capital as she will play in the quarterfinals of the 2022 Poland Open.

After losing only three games in the first round, Iga Swiatek lost only 5 in the second round as she cruised past Gabriela Lee into the quarterfinals of the tournament in Warsaw.

Both players started with solid games on their serve as the scoreboard showed 3-3 in the first set. Then, the young Pole managed to win three games in a row to win the first set 6-3 and gain the lead in the match. In the second set, Swiatek continued in a dominant performance and won the first four games.

For a second, it seemed that she might bake another bagel for her opponent this year, but that didn't happen and the home crowd favourite eventually won the match 6-3, 6-2. In the quarterfinals, she will take on Caroline Garcia who is the fifth-seeded in Warsaw.
