On Monday, Iga Swiatek started already her 48th consecutive week as world no. 1 in the WTA Rankings.

Last week, the young Pole surprisingly lost in the final of the 2023 Dubai Championships to Barbora Krejcikova. However, thanks to her massive lead atop the WTA Rankings, she doesn't need to be concerned about losing her spot anytime soon.

She's first with 10585 points and by starting the 48th consecutive week as world no. 1, she matched Simona Halep, who spent the same amount of weeks as world no. 1 in a row.

Her closest competitor is Aryna Sabalenka, the 2023 Australian Open champion, who currently has 6100 points and leads the WTA Race with 2660 points ahead of 2nd Rybakina with 1561 points, and third Swiatek, who has 1420 points.

The third player in the WTA Rankings is Jessica Pegula with 5495 and the fourth is Ons Jabeur with 4921 points. Overall, there were no changes in the Top 10 and the most significant move was recorded by the 2023 Dubai Championships winner, Barbora Krejcikova.

The Czech moved by 14 places from 30th position to world no. 16. Liudmila Samsonova also moved up by one space to reach her new career-high 12th place.
