The Canadian women's team will be led by Bianca Andreescu and Leylah Fernandez at the Billie Jean King Cup finals in Glasgow, Scotland.

The 2022 Billie Jean King Cup finals will be played from November 8th until 13th as 12 teams are divided into four groups. Canada is part of Group A with Switzerland and Italy and on Saturday, they revealed their national team which consists of Bianca Andreescu, Leylah Fernandez, Carol Zhao, Gabriela Dabrowski, and Rebecca Marino.

This year's Billie Jean King Cup finals will be overshadowed by the fact that world no. 1, Iga Swiatek withdrew from the competition because of a scheduling conflict, but Canadian team will try to use this advantage to fight for the trophy.

Despite being ranked only 38th and 57th respectively, Leylah Fernandez and Bianca Andreescu have experience with playing a Grand Slam title and the latter also has a major trophy in her collection. That will be very useful against likes of Belinda Bencic, who the Canadian team can meet in their group.
