The 2022 Budapest Open will take place from July 11th to 17th, and it will be held in the first week following the season's third Grand Slam, since it has an impressive entry list.
After last year's premier, Budapest Open will be held also in 2022 and it will also see its 2021 champion, Yulia Putintseva in the action. Moreover, last year's finalist, Anhelina Kalinina is also on the entry list as a strong field is expected to arrive in the Hungarian capital.
2021 Roland Garros champion, Barbora Krejcikova should be the top seeded player in Budapest. Elena Rybakina, Aliaksandra Sasnovich, Ajla Tomljanovic and Martina Trevisan who reached the semifinals of the 2022 Roland Garros, should also take part at the event on clay.
The entry list is full of players that can cause a surprise such as Quinwen Zheng, Shuai Zhang, Elena-Gabriela Ruse, Tereza Martincova or Laura Siegiemund.
