Daniil Medvedev had struggles with injuries and form recently, but he's back to his best and his recent results prove it.

The 27-year-old won the title in Rotterdam and he will try to add another in the 2023 Qatar Open final against Andy Murray, who he praised ahead of their meeting. Despite recent lack of success, Medvedev is constantly striving to improve his game, and he knows that he needs to be at his very best to compete at the highest level.

He is aware that he is a target for other players, and he knows that they will be gunning for him, especially after he won his first Grand Slam title and became the world no. 1. Moreover, adaptation is a key element of success in any sport, and Medvedev is well aware of this fact. He knows that he cannot rely on the same tactics to win matches, and he needs to keep changing his game to stay ahead of the competition.

"To play my best tennis like I'm doing right now. I'm really happy. Two finals. Of course I want to do better than I did last year in 1000s and Grand Slams. But it's not easy. Everyone you face gonna try to beat you, try to play good. People start to know how to play you. So you have to change all the time, try to adapt also."

Medvedev is confident in his abilities, and he knows that he can beat anyone on his day. However, he is also aware that the competition is fierce, and he needs to be at his very best to succeed. He is determined to show his best tennis this season, and he is working hard to achieve his goals.

"So my goal is to show my best tennis, which I was, for whatever reason, sometimes not able to do last year, and I know when I show my best tennis I'm dangerous for everyone, and that's when I can get good results."
