Roger Federer's professional tennis days might be over but he's not given up on the sport completely as he still practices often.

Ivan Ljubicic, Federer's former coach who worked with him in the final years of his career, made the revelation recently. It shouldn't surprise anyone, the Croatian stated in a podcast interview with Marion Bartoli.

"He still practices when he can, he is still staying active, and he feels good. His life hasn't changed much. I know he would like to have fun on the tennis courts, that's the place where he feels the best," said Ljubicic.

In order to give tennis fans who had never seen him play an opportunity to do so, Federer expressed a desire to continue playing in exhibition matches for a few more years. He acknowledged that the knee is not yet prepared for it, but he still wants to carry out his plan in the future.

For now, it's mostly about resting and making it strong enough for something like that and regular practices that Ljubicic mentioned are a great way to do so.
