Nick Kyrgios would love to meet Roger Federer on the tennis court again as he challenged him to an exhibition match.

Six years ago, Kyrgios and Federer played one of the most entertaining best-of-three-sets matches in the history of the sport. The match went all the way as all sets were decided in a tie-break and due to the incredible talent of both players, fans were treated to a spectacle that turned into a tennis classic.

Kyrgios recently reminded his fans about his 2017 Miami Open semifinal encounter with Federer, dubbing it his "favorite match". The memorable clash lasted over three hours and despite Kyrgios' impressive efforts, Federer ultimately emerged victorious with a nail-biting 7-6(9), 6-7(9), 7-6(5) scoreline.

Currently sidelined due to recent knee surgery, Kyrgios took to social media to share highlights from the Miami Open battle, daring Federer to recreate the magic in an exhibition match on Swiss soil. "Exhibition in Switzerland? Roger Federer shall we do it again?" the Aussie asked.

The prospect of witnessing these two charismatic players face off in a friendly yet competitive showdown has captivated the tennis world and reaffirmed Kyrgios' admiration for Federer's greatness.

Right now, tennis fans eagerly await Federer's response, the proposed showdown offers an exciting opportunity to witness the Swiss legend back on the court after his retirement announcement.

In the past, the two met seven times on the ATP Tour and the 20-time Grand Slam champion triumphed in six of those matches. Kyrgios' only win came surprisingly in their first and only clay-court meeting, when they played another match that went into three tie-breaks, with Kyrgios winning 6-7(2), 7-6(5), 7-6(12).

After his retirement, Federer already hinted that he would like to play in exhibition events, and so the proposal from Kyrgios may certainly come into the consideration by the Swiss Maestro and his team.
