Stefanos Tsitsipas is excited to play at the Diriyah Tennis Cup because it was always his dream to come visit the country.
Tsitsipas loves to travel and considers it to be a fun aspect of his daily job. He always enjoyed exploring different cultures and going to Saudi Arabia was a goal of his. The tennis cup in the country allows him to explore the country as well as play some tennis which should be a great way to prepare for next year.
„It was on my bucket list to visit Saudi Arabia for travel and I’m happy they are introducing a tournament like the Diriyah Tennis Cup in the heart of Saudi Arabia, so I can also play tennis there," said Tsitsipas.
Another allure was the fact that he'll play some amazing players there which he added as well:
"Having good players and opponents around me is the perfect preparation for the upcoming season.“
Tsitsipas was last in action at the ATP Finals in Turin where he failed to qualify for the semi-finals after losing twice in the round-robin stage.
