Taylor Fritz was one of the players followed for the first season of Break Point, Netflix's Tennis show that was created after the Formula One show's success.
The show had a lot of hype because it featured some interesting tennis names that most tennis fans didn't know before as well as super prominent names like Nick Kyrgios. It was a good mix that gave fans a solid watching even though some reviews weren't so great.
It's just great to see that people are caring about the show, even caring about tennis enough. I would say I have been seeing myself... more people coming up to me over the past couple of months, whether I'm like out. I'd say it's been there when I'm in Europe and stuff.
Fritz was part of the show and he was glad to see that people cared about the show and tennis in general. There have been some ominous signals that the sport's popularity has been fading in recent years and Fritz is glad more people are getting into it.
It's more common, people are more into tennis. But I think definitely since the show has come out especially, I can definitely see that more people seem into it in the States and I do find myself, more people coming up to me and talking to me in the US as well.
Fritz has been one of the players that 'benefitted' the most from the series as his social media numbers increased the most since it debuted. He tried to portray himself as accurately as possible showing off his true self.
I always try to just be me. I thought that if I try to come across as fake or different, you can tell.
