German Davis Cup Captain Michael Kohlmann is relying fully on the newly recovered Alexander Zverev in the upcoming clash with Switzerland.
The Captain hopes Zverev can lead his country past a tricky Switzerland team with the tie taking place in Germany. Zverev last played at the Australian Open in January but got beaten by American Michael Mmoh in the second round.
I hope that he will be the leader of the team and play a very important part for us. It was important that he started in Australia without any physical problems and that he clinched a win.
The tie is really important for both team, especially for Germany who will be without Struff. Zverev will have a lot of responsibility, especially with Switzerland being led by Stan Wawrinka who has shown some good tennis lately.
He was extremely important for the team last year, scored a lot of points, but also off the pitch as a team leader. But I'm sure we can compensate for this loss too.
