The Ultimate Tennis Showdown will happen this year in Los Angeles and Frances Tiafoe will join Nick Kyrgios and Taylor Fritz at the event.

It's been an event that's a few years old already having been created by famous tennis coach Patrick Mouratoglou a few years ago. It features a unique format, quite a fast pace of play and just a relatively chill atmosphere while maintaining a dose of competition.

The event will be staged in Los Angeles in July and it's going to be a true spectacle. We'll get to see Nick Kyrgios who loves to show off on the court. Tiafoe is not far behind and Taylor Fritz will bring some shot-making too. Schwartzman is another player that signed up for the event.

His participation was announced on the official Instagram page of the event with a short promotional video and the name under which he will compete 'Big Foe'. Players have nicknames when competing in the UTS so Kyrgios will be 'King', Fritz will be named 'The Hotshot' while Schwartzman will use his typical 'El Peque'.

The inaugural tournament for the year of the tennis spectacle known as UTS is set to launch at the Dignity Health Sports Park's Tennis Stadium in Los Angeles, California from July 21-23. This fifth installment of UTS marks a significant milestone as it is the first of its kind to take place outside Europe.

For the 2023 season, UTS is broadening its global reach with three worldwide regular events and the introduction of a Grand Final to determine the season's champion. The victor of the Los Angeles event will earn their place in the prestigious UTS Grand Final, set to take place from December 7-10.

The remaining regular events are slated for Europe (September 15-17) and Asia/Middle East (December 1-3). UTS Los Angeles is primed to deliver an unmatched sporting experience in a stadium purpose-built for high-level tennis.

The tournament will follow a round-robin format, ensuring fans the opportunity to see all eight participating players on court on the 21st and 22nd of July. The roster is set to expand in the upcoming weeks with announcements of additional players from the USA, Europe, and Asia, each a renowned figure in the world of tennis.
