Felix Auger-Aliassime won his second career trophy at the 2022 Florence Open earlier today by beating Wolf in straight sets.

The Canadian had only won twice previously in his life and he got the second one on his eleventh attempt. When he spoke to the reporter after the game, his excitement was evident, and his choice of words shows how much it matters to him.

"It never gets old. Winning, it always feels like the first time" - admitted Auger who fondly remembers the first time he felt the joy of winning a trophy. It came at the Rotterdam earlier this year when he downed Tistsipas in the final.

"It's so special to win, especially here. I had a fantastic week and it's been amazing" he added.

His thoughts crystalized a bit later explaining why Finals are always tough: "Every final is tough, it's the two best players of the week. Of course, you try to win more than you lose the finals and that's why I came out here today ready to give everything. We had some very tough rallies in the second set, feeling tough physically. But you keep pushing, try to keep the level high."
