Players will play the ATP 1000 event in Montreal from August 8th until 14th and the draw is already known.
Alexander Zverev, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal all withdrew from the ATP 1000 tournament in Montreal and so the draw opened for other players. Daniil Medvedev is the defending champion and he will be also the first-seeded this year.
The top eight players have a bye in the first round and so Daniil Medvedev will begin his tournament against winner of the match between Sebastian Baez and Nick Kyrgios. Carlos Alcaraz is the second-seeded in Montreal after the withdrawal and the Spaniard will play against Vasek Pospisil or Tommy Paul in the second round.
Andy Murray will have a difficult as the two-time Montreal champion will play against Taylor Fritz. Stefanos Tsitsipas who is the third-seeded will meet one of the qualifiers in the second round. No. 7, Jannik Sinner will also play against one of the qualifiers in the second round and so these two players will have to wait to see who can be their possible opponent.
Some of the interesting first round clashes include the match between Stan Wawrinka and Emil Ruusuvuori. The eleventh-seeded Matteo Berrettini will take on Pablo Carreno Busta and also Marin Cilic and Borna Coric will meet in an all-Croatian first-round match.
