Serena Williams made a surprise appearance in Washington where she helped her sister Venus get ready for her comeback tomorrow.
Venus Williams has not played in almost a year and the older Williams will make her return to singles tennis in Washington. Her match opening match will most likely happen on Monday and she was surprised by her younger sister Serena who surprised fans by appearing on the practice court.
The younger Williams is not set to play in Washington and will only make her return in Toronto but she opted for some early practice sessions with her sister. Fans packed around the court the watch the two legendary sisters practice because it's a sight you can't see that often anymore.
The last time Venus played singles tennis was in Chicago last year, about 11 months ago. Since then she's been dealing with injury and all sorts of different stuff. Serena on the other hand made her return at Wimbledon but she failed to win her opening round match despite serving for the match against Harmony Tan.
Fans are hoping to see the legendary sisters in better form in the events, particularly the US Open.
