The WTA year-end competition is about to begin as the 2022 WTA Finals will take place from October 31 through November 7 in Fort Worth, Texas.

The eight best players from the 2022 season who qualified for the WTA Finals now know which round-robin groups they will compete in. One of them is the American teenager Coco Gauff, who will play at the year-ending tournament in Texas in both singles and doubles.

The only Grand Slam winner in the draw is Tracy Austin Group's Iga Swiatek, who is ranked first in the world. The young Pole will compete against no. 6 Caroline Garcia, no. 8 Kasatkina, and 1 Coco Gauff, whom she defeated in this year's Roland Garros final.

Ons Jabeur, the top player in Nancy Richey Group and a two-time Grand Slam finalist in 2022, is followed by Jessica Pegula, ranked third. Aryna Sabalenka, ranked no. 7, and Maria Sakkari, ranked no. 5, will also compete in this group for a position in the Final Four.

The top two players from each group advance to the semifinals, where the first player from Tracy Austin Group faces the second player from Nancy Richey and vice versa.

Same principle applies for doubles where Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula are in Rosie Casals Group alongside Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova, Yifan Xu and Zhaoxuan Yang and Demi Schuurs and Desirae Krawczyk.

Pam Shriver Group consists of Gabriela Dabrowski and Giuliana Olmos, Elise Mertens and Veronika Kudermetova, Lyudmyla Kichenok and Jelena Ostapenko and Beatriz Haddad Maia and Anna Danilina.
