The third-seeded Aryna Sabalenka started really well at the 2022 Italian Open when she showed a dominant performance and triumphed in just 51 minutes.

After struggling in Charleston and Madrid, where the Belarusian lost to Amanda Anisimova, it looks like Aryna Sabalenka arrived in a top form for the 2022 Italian Open as she triumphed 6-2, 6-0 in her opening match in Rome.

On her way to the victory, Sabalenka hit 6 aces and only one double fault. Moreover, she hit 75% of her first serves in and won 80% of the points after her first serve. She didn't face a single breakpoint during the whole match and was successful in 4 out of 9 occasions when she had one.

All of these stats contributed to a swift victory, when the world number 8 dropped only 2 games on her way to the third round of the 2022 Italian Open where she will take on the winner of the match between Anhelina Kalinina and Jessica Pegula.
