The 2022 Italian Open will be held in Rome, Italy's capital, from May 9 to 15, with the world's best women competing on clay courts.
Iga Swiatek is the defending champion of the 2022 Italian Open, having defeated Karolina Pliskova in the final last year. The Czech player, on the other hand, is a Rome champion, having won the tournament last year, and they are both on the entry list this year. Simona Halep and Elina Svitolina are among the many champions of the Italian Open. While Halep will want to add another title in 2022, the Ukrainian will not compete in the event.
There will be a lot to fight for as the champion in the Italian capital will take home 900 points and more than 300,000€. The runner-up will addd 585 points for the WTA Rankings and earn almost 200,000€.
