2024 Brisbane International WTA Draw With Osaka, Sabalenka, Rybakina & More

| by Erik Virostko

The 2024 Brisbane International will be one of the most exciting WTA 500 tournaments of the season, and the tournament's draw has been released.

With the new season starting, there's not many more exciting tournaments than the 2024 Brisbane International, running from December 31st, 2023, until January 7th, 2024.

While the start of the new season is a good enough of a story line, there's another major storyline, and that's the return of a four-time Grand Slam champion, Naomi Osaka, who will play her first tournament in over a year.

The Japanese player is motivated to come back and she already knows her first opponent in Brisbane, as Osaka will take on Tamara Korpatsch, with her possible second-round match being against the former world no. 1, Karolina Pliskova.

But Osaka isn't the only exciting player at the tournament, as all players will want to fight for their share of the prize money and points. Aryna Sabalenka, who will defend her title at the Australian Open, is one of the 16 seeded players with a first-round bye, and the Belarusian will await the winner of the match between Lucia Bronzetti and Ashlyn Krueger in the second round.

On the other side of the draw, is none other than her 2023 Australian Open final opponent, Elena Rybakina, who will await either Kimberly Birrell or a qualifier in the second round of the tournament thanks to her first-round bye.

The 14th-seeded Sofia Kenin will want to back up her strong year-end showings with another solid performance, as she'll start against Arina Rodionova or Martina Trevisan in the second round of the tournament.

Her teammate from the victorious The Eagles team at the 2023 World Tennis League, 16-year-old Mirra Andreeva, will start her tournament against fellow compatriot Diana Shnaider. There are many exciting matchups at the 2024 Brisbane International and to see them all you should make sure to check the draw below.
