The 2023 Merida Open is a WTA 250 event played at the Yucatan Country Club in Merida, Mexico from February 20-26.

As majority of the WTA 250 events, the Merida Open offers a great opportunity for lower-ranked players to win a title and get some valuable ranking points. These events usually see many young players as well as some of the veterans present on the entry list.

In 2023, Alycia Parks is one of the most interesting names on the entry list as the young American showed her qualities in the past few months. But there will be also players with experience, such as the 2017 US Open champion, Sloane Stephens.

Magda Linette, Katerina Siniakova, Elisabetta Cocciaretto and Alisone Riske-Amritraj will all try to show their qualities in Mexico and there will be also some players that experienced a major success in the past.

Tatjana Maria, the 2022 Wimbledon semifinalist, and Camila Giorgi, the 2018 Wimbledon quarterfinalist and former world no. 26 will both compete.
