The Silicon Valley Classic has a long history but moved from Stanford to San Jose only in 2018 and traditionally features a strong entry list.
Previously, players such as Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Angelique Kerber and many more triumphed at the Silicon Valley Classic. After the tournament moved to San Jose, Mihaela Buzarnescu, Saisai Zheng and Danielle Collins triumphed at the tournament and only one of them is featured on the entry list also in 2022.
Danielle Collins will take part at the event as a defending champion but she will be facing a tough opposition on her way to the title. Many Top 10 players will take part at the event as Ons Jabeur leads the field.
Paula Badosa, Maria Sakkari, Aryna Sabalenka and Karolina Pliskova will all try to start the US Open preparation well but the American players such as Coco Gauff, Madison Keys, Amanda Anisimova, Alison Riske and Shelby Rogers will try to make the home crowd happy.
