Frances Tiafoe and Jack Sock were the last two players that Roger Federer faced on a tennis court as they bested him and Rafael Nadal at the 2022 Laver Cup.

It was a night about Roger Federer and celebration of his great career. The Swiss Maestro teamed up with his great rival and good friend, Rafael Nadal, who accompanied him during his last match. The American duo, Frances Tiafoe and Jack Sock showed their respect to the 20-time Grand Slam champion by fighting for every point on the court and eventually they also won the very tight match.

However, some fans were not happy with the result, as players representing Team World were abused on social media because of winning against Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. Yet, after the match, they showed how greatly they respect both players, but especially retiring Federer, when they spoke in a short video for the Laver Cup.

"I don't think we're gonna really understand what happened. We're probably gonna call each other in ten, 15 years from now and be like 'bro, remember London at The O2'?" Tiafoe started.

"Roger's game is crazy. He is the one. Like he is the chosen one. Everyone around the world loves him. What he did for the game is unbelievable."

"You had his rival crying with him. Guess that's the level of respect he has," said Tiafoe. "He showed love to everybody. Came to us twice. Didn't have to, like gave us both a second of his time, how big that moment was."

"Again, tonight wasn't about us at all. Just us being on the court was special. getting a win for Team world was huge, but at the end of the day, it feels bad. He is going to sleep well for the rest of his life. He had an unbelievable career," concluded Tiafoe.
