Stan Wawrinka is a three-time Grand Slam champion during the Big Three era which is impressive but he's far away from the 22 that Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal won.

Obviously winning so many Grand Slams is not the norm and that's why we only saw a handful of players ever do it. Like many, Wawrinka wonders what the final number of Djokovic and Nadal will be but he's not going to take a guess.

That's we all want to know, but we will not know until he is done. But, he has been amazing since more than 15 years. He has been there, he has been winning everything. Yeah, he is a special player.

Wawrinka on Djokovic

Wawrinka played Djokovic multiple times and he actually defeated him in grand slam finals before. Some of those that he won could have counted toward the Serbian's total but even without them, his number is iconic. He knows how strong Djokovic is having played him for the highest of stakes.

So tough to beat, so clean the way he plays, so physical, mentally so strong. Yeah, I am excited to see what's gonna happen with the next Grand Slam coming this year.

Wawrinka on Djokovic's strengths

One thing Wawrinka noted is how the big three manage to always surprise many despite everyone knowing how strong they are. It speaks to the greatness of Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer because it lasted so long and it's just something that hasn't been seen in tennis before. Nobody dominated this much and this long.

They have been doing so well. Roger [Federer] retired last year, but Rafa [Nadal] is still here. He also has 22 [Grand Slam titles], so they always surprise us without surprising us because we all know how good they are.
