Rafael Nadal's historic Roland Garros triumph has some interesting tidbits and we're going to show you some of them below.

So Rafael Nadal played another Roland Garros final and once more he won it. This time around it was Casper Ruud's time to play the victim and he did. He admitted as much after the match saying that Nadal completely outplayed him. True story Mr. Ruud and that was the 14th time he did that. He is a staggering 14-0 in the final of the same grand slam.

Incredible but moving on it's also the first time he ever won the Australian Open and Roland Garros in the same year. To be fair, he only won the Australian Open once before this year but he did not win Roland Garros that year.

The 6-3 6-3 6-0 win is tied for the 2nd-most lopsided win in a major final ever. Interestingly, all three of those wins were done by Nadal. In 2017 at Roland Garros, Wawrinka won only six games with Roger Federer winning only four in 2008. He's also now won at least one clay court trophy in 19 consecutive years. King of Clay status confirmed.

And he's now become the oldest Roland Garros champion in history beating Andres Gimeno who won it in 1974 at the age of 34 years and 10 months.
