Jannik Sinner still leads the ATP Rankings ahead of Alexander Zverev as the latest edition didn't bring almost any changes following the Davis Cup week.
Since June of this year, Sinner has been world number one player on the ATP Tour. He became the top-ranked man after Novak Djokovic withdrew from Roland Garros.
The Serbian was the defending champion, but his loss of a large number of points allowed Sinner to overtake him, and he's held the ranking ever since.
In the latest version of the ATP Rankings, Sinner is still on top with an incredible 11,180 points, fairly clear of all of those that come after him, as Zverev is the closest with 7,075 points.
The third on the list is Carlos Alcaraz, who has 6,690 points. This is mostly due to his early loss in New York. He stood in the semi-final last year, and his loss earlier this year cost him a good amount of points.
Number four on the list is Novak Djokovic with 5,560 points, which is within striking distance for Daniil Medvedev, who has 5,475 points. Andrey Rublev is number six right now with 4,645 points, ahead of Taylor Fritz with 4,060.
Hubert Hurkacz, who is eighth, has the same amount of points as Fritz, as the two are divided only by better results in majors. Casper Ruud is currently ninth with 4,010 points, with Grigor Dimitrov completing the Top 10 with 3,965 points.
The lower half of the Top 10 is close together, with many players having a similar amount of points, so it will be a close battle to finish in the Top 10 in 2024.
A similar situation is in the 2024 ATP Race to Turin, in which lots of players are battling for the final few spots in Turin, so the finish to the year should be very exciting for tennis fans as we count down the days until the end of the season.
Neither the Top 10 nor the Top 20 have changed because there weren't any ATP Tour-level events played. It was the Davis Cup week, and while players like Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic were in action, they didn't earn or lose any points for their efforts.
There were some movements in the Top 100 because some of the players competed on the Challenger Tour instead of the Davis Cup this or last year. Mariano Navone is one of those players, and he lost some of those points, dropping down four spots to number 40.
Christopher O'Connell is the biggest mover in the Top 100, jumping up 12 spots to No. 75. The Australian was in China playing at a Challenger event, and he won it, earning himself a good number of points, allowing him to jump up 12 spots on the Rankings.
Quentin Halys won the Rennes Challenger and moved up by 10 positions back into the Top 100 to World No. 98 position.
