Nick Kyrgios took another aim at the ATP although this time around he is right in pointing out that playres based in Europe have it easier than those that are not.

Kyrgios left Australia after two months to play some grass events in Europe and he reached back-to-back semifinals in Stuttgart and Halle. During the Halle event, Kyrgios took aim at the ATP calendar pointing out how European players have an advantage over other players that he deemed unfair.

European players can play clay court all year round and finish like 70 in the world. And they don’t even have to leave. Where an Australian player has to travel six months a year and not see his family, not see his friends. I have played five events this year and I am like 50 in the world and I have to travel.

When you think about it, Kyrgio has a fair point. If you are based in Europe you don't have to leave half the year and you can just hop from one event to another. Australian players have it much harder and it's something that negatively impacted Ashleigh Barty as she talked about it many times.

Jetting back Down under every two weeks is not worth it hence why she has had to spend months away from home and family at a time. Kyrgios then added another interesting tidbit that is very true to his style.

So if I have six grass courts in Australia, I would never leave the country. Like I would never leave the country. Why I would leave the country? I don’t even know some of the people in the top 100 I am being serious. I don’t know them.
