Roger Federer said goodbye to tennis last night but the Swiss ace still has plans around the game and one of them could come true in the next six months.

Last night, Roger Federer played his final match, a doubles match with Rafael Nadal at the Laver Cup, which was one of his favourite tournaments. Even though it was heartbreaking, Roger Federer's farewell was perfect in many ways because it was on his terms.

Things that led to it have not been fully in his control but for the most part, it was okay. Speaking after he did admit that he's not ready to fully walk away from the game explaining a plan about a potential exhibition event in the next six months:

"I would love to organize an exhibition with players of my choice in the next six months. Tennis has given me everything and I don't want to walk away from it."

He would not share too much but it's clear that that wasn't the final time we will see him with a racquet in his hand.
