Novak Djokovic will remain World No. 1 for the remainder of the clay-court swing, but there are notable changes in the Top 10 following the conclusion of the Italian Open.
Djokovic dropped 130 points after a third-round defeat to Alejandro Tabilo in Rome. He can recover lost points in Rome before Roland Garros because he is in action at this week's Geneva Open.
However, the Serbian is not assured of remaining World No. 1 after the French Open. Jannik Sinner is hot on his heels, just 1090 points behind him. It has to be noted that Djokovic will drop 2000 points as the defending champion when the tournament begins on May 26th.
Carlos Alcaraz can comfortably stay in third place despite missing the Italian Open because of injury. But Alexander Zverev has replaced Daniil Medvedev in the top four.
The German collected his second Rome Masters title on Sunday to overtake the Russian. This also means Zverev will be the fourth seed at the French Open. Andrey Rublev and Casper Ruud occupy the sixth and seventh spots, respectively.
Hubert Hurkacz moved above Stefanos Tsitsipas into the eighth spot, with Grigor Dimitrov keeping his place as World No. 10 for another week. Nicolas Jarry is the biggest mover in the Top 20.
The towering Chilean was a runner-up at the Italian Open and jumped eight places to become the new World No. 16. Jarry's countryman Alejandro Tabilo also made history in Rome by reaching the semifinal. He makes his Top 30 debut at a career-high mark of No. 25.
Arthur Fils, Lorenzo Musetti, and Mariano Navone are the three men who shut the door for the Top 32 seeding at the upcoming clay Grand Slam. So Cameron Norrie and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina miss out on that privilege.
Jack Draper is back in the Top 40, moving five spots to a new career-high of no. 35. He will be in action in Geneva this week. Zhizhen Zhang moved up to a new best ranking of no. 42 after reaching his second Masters quarterfinal on clay.
Nuno Borges (46th) and Luciano Darderi (47th) are Top 50 entrants after Rome, while Brazil's Thiago Monteiro soared into the Top 100 again (84th). USA's Adam Walton makes his Top 100 debut (95th) after winning the Taipei Challenger last week.
