2023 Miami Open ATP Draw with Alcaraz, Medvedev, Tsitsipas & more

| by Zachary Wimer

The ATP draw for the 2023 Miami Open, which will be played from March 22nd to April 2nd was released.

The Sunshine Double is already in full swing as the 2023 Indian Wells concluded with a final between Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev. The Spaniard snapped Medvedev's 19-match win streak to claim the title and Alcaraz will be the key figure also at the 2023 Miami Open.

The 19-year-old is the first-seed and also the defending champion. In the second round, he will meet a qualifier or Facundo Bagnis and already in the third round, the World No. 1 can meet player that occupied the spot in the past, Andy Murray who starts against Dusan Lajovic in the first round.

Taylor Fritz, who didn't defend his title in Indian Wells, will want to get back to winning ways in Miami. The American will start against one of the compatriots John Isner or Emilio Nava. The seventh-seeded Holger Rune will start against Marton Fucsovics or Pedro Cachin.

One player that will surely want to kick-start his 2023 season is Casper Ruud. The Norwegian is really struggling and at the 2023 Miami Open, he will meet Ilya Ivashka or a qualifier in the second round.

Alexander Zverev is the 13th-seeded player in Miami and he will play against Arthur Rinderknech or Taro Daniel in the second round. Jannik Sinner, no. 10 seed, who was eliminated only by the eventual champion Alcaraz in Indian Wells, will start against Laslo Djere or a qualifier.

The sixth-seeded Andrey Rublev awaits J.J. Wolf or Alexander Bublik in the second round, while the eighth-seeded Hubert Hurkacz will play against Zizou Bergs or a qualifier.

After losing in the Indian Wells final, Daniil Medvedev said that he wants to start another winning streak, and he will have a great chance to do that against one of Alcaraz's compatriots as he'll take on the winner of the match between Bernabe Zapata Miralles and Roberto Carballes Baena.

The fifth-seeded Felix Auger-Aliassime will begin against Thiago Monteiro or Jason Kubler, while the second-seeded Stefanos Tsitsipas will await veteran Richard Gasquet or a qualifier.
