The ATP Tour will make its one and only stop in Belgium for the eighth edition of the European Open in Antwerp.
It will be held in the port city of Antwerp from October 16th to 22nd, with 250 rankings points on offer. 28 singles players will compete for a fair share of the prize money purse €673,630 - the highest in the tournament's history.
The tournament will welcome a star-studded lineup for the 2023 edition, each with additional objectives outside of winning the title. The likes of Jannik Sinner and Stefanos Tsitsipas have an excellent opportunity to enhance their chances of qualifying for the ATP Finals.
Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov, famed for his indoor prowess, has not won an ATP title since 2017. So he'll be watchful of any slip-ups from the top two seeds. Jan-Lennard Struff has put together the season of his life, and he'll be in the hunt for his first ATP title.
Top 30 contenders such as Borna Coric and Alexander Bublik are players capable of finding form in these conditions, as will Sebastian Korda, who is trying to salvage whatever is left of another injury-riddled season. France's Ugo Humbert is one of three former champions in the field and is among the top eight seeds.
The champion in Antwerp will get 250 points and a six-figure paycheck amounting to €102,460. The beaten finalist will make €59,760 and be rewarded 150 points. The two losing semifinalists get 90 points and will each pocket €35,135 in prize money.
Players who fall in the quarterfinal stage will get 45 points and €20,360 for their efforts. Prize money allocation in the main draw begins from the first round. Those who fail to win a match will still be €7,225 richer but with zero points to their names, while those who win at least one match will make €11,825 and earn 20 ranking points.
