One of the two tournaments held right after the final Grand Slam of the season, from August 19 through August 25, is the 2022 Moselle Open in Metz.
In order to take advantage of timing their form, players who typically don't advance to the second week of a Grand Slam try to sign up for an event that takes place immediately following the major. Therefore, the entry list for those competitions is typically not full of stars, but that is not the case for the Moselle Open in 2022.
Former world number 1, Daniil Medvedev leads the field and he will try to snatch the top prize of 81,310€ and 250 points. However, also the finalist gets a nice reward of 150 ranking points and 47,340€ while both semifinalists are awarded 27,885€ and 90 points.
For losing in the first round, players don't get any points but they are awarded 5,730€ and for getting into the second round, they can already collect 20 points and 9,380€. All four unsuccessful quarterfinalists get 45 points and 16,160€.
